The fire that has been burning near School Land Road in Exeter has been a little more than 80 percent contained.
Fire broke out about 1:30 Friday afternoon and quickly spread.
Governor Dan McKee says more than 200 firefighters were involved in the operation.
The Rhode Island National Guard was also providing an air approach to the fire dropping hundreds of gallons of water on the blaze.
Meantime, an evacuation order was in place at one time, but as of Saturday morning it has been lifted.
