The Dollar Tree Stores chain has been fined 770-thousand-dollars for failure to provide safe work conditions at two Rhode Island stores.
The discount retailer has been penalized for violating federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards at its East Providence and Pawtucket locations.
Inspectors cited blocked emergency exits, boxed merchandise preventing access to fire extinguishers and compressed helium gas cylinders stored and labeled improperly.
The company has 15 days to comply or contest the findings.
