The Celtics eliminated the Hawks from the NBA playoffs after earning a 128-120 victory in Game Six of their best of seven first round series.
Jaylen Brown led all scorers with 32 points to go along with five rebounds.
Jayson Tatum recorded a double-double after scoring 30 points and grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds.
Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 17 points off the bench for the C's.
Trae Young led Atlanta with 30 points as every member of the Hawks' starting lineup scored in double digits.
Boston will now face the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round, which begins Monday with Game One at TD Garden.
