Reed Says Default Not An Option On As Debt Ceiling Talks Continue

US Senator Jack Reed says it is time for the House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to endorse a clean bill that will raise the debt ceiling and then negotiate budget cuts separately.

The Rhode Island Senior US Senator made his comments on Fox News Sunday.

The Senator says the approach is not a new one. It is the same thing that democrats did when faced with the same issue.

Both the House Speaker and the President are expected to meet later today on the issue.

That was not the only high profile issue that Senator Reed commented on.

He says that the California US Senator Dianne Feinstein has successfully served her state and her country for decades and has earned the right to decide for herself whether she wants to retire after dealing with shingles.
