Rhode Island is being included in a list of alternate travel plans which drivers are being encouraged to consider in relation to the Sumner Tunnel closure in Boston.
The key artery which connects downtown Boston and Logan International Airport is undergoing critical repairs over the next two months, which is expected to have a major impact on traffic.
Instead of going to Logan during the closure, officials with the Rhode Island Airport Corporation say T.F. Green Airport in Warwick might be a more leisurely choice.
