Police in Providence say four people were shot after midnight on Wednesday.
One of the shootings was fatal.
The victim, identified as Jerry Cardona, reportedly died from the gun violence at an Independence Day party on Dupont Drive.
It's the seventh murder in the capital city this year.
No arrests have been made yet.
