The Rhode Island Health Department has closed 13 beaches throughout the state because of high counts of bacteria. Four of the 13 are in Warwick. Here are the latest closings.
Oakland Beach Warwick
City Park Beach Warwick
Conimicut Beach Warwick
Goddard State Park Beach Warwick
Barrington Town Beach Barrington
Warren Town Beach Warren
Sandy Point Beach Portsmouth
Peabody's Beach Middletown
Third Beach Middletown
Lincoln Woods Beach Lincoln
Marion Irons Glocester
Camp Ruggles Scituate
Harmony Hill School Chepachet
Officials say it is pretty common to have such beach closings because of the high bacteria counts- particularly after the rains that we have had. More test results are being conducted.
