The Little League World Series is getting underway today.
The team from Smithfield is representing the U.S. Metro region.
Rhode Island is playing in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the first time in four years.
Smithfield will battle the Mountain team from Henderson, Nevada at 3 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
