Drivers in Cumberland must stop for school buses that are picking up or dropping off children, or they will be issued a ticket.
The Valley Breeze reports Cumberland School Department buses will be equipped with cameras which will catch those who break the law by passing a stopped bus. The Cumberland Police Department will review the tape and determine if a ticket needs to be issued.
Superintendent Phil Thornton told the Cumberland School Committee that drivers are passing stopped buses "more than we'd like to hear about".
