The 2023 Little League World Series run is over for the representatives from Rhode Island.
The Little League team from Smithfield lost by a 9-to-3 score versus their opponents from El Segundo, California on Tuesday night.
Smithfield was the first Rhode Island team to make it to the World Series in Williamsport in four years.
