National Grid is confirming that personal information of customers has been compromised in a data breach.
The company reports that a cyber incident during a file transfer exposed the personal information.
National Grid officials say no customer financial data or account passwords were exposed, and there is no indication that any accounts have been accessed.
National Grid has hired a company to investigate the breach.
