Governor Dan McKee was at Community College Rhode Island in Providence on Wednesday to highlight resources that are available through the state's Childcare Assistance Program.
McKee says "Too many parents face barriers in advancing their careers because they don’t have support. Now they can pursue higher ed AND build economic security."
That's why the governor says he partnered with the General Assembly to expand access to the childcare program for parents attending college.
The program is managed by the Rhode Island Department of Human Services.
