The National Weather Service is confirming that a tornado hit Rhode Island on Wednesday.
Officials say the twister caused damage in Foster, Glocester, and Lincoln, along with towns in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The strength and path of the tornado have yet to be determined.
There were no reported injuries in any of the impacted communities.
