A suspect who was involved in a wild confrontation with law enforcement in Rhode Island died on Friday night.
Police say Michael Pinto of Glocester started a police chase in Burrillville, and became stuck in traffic on Route 146 in North Smithfield.
Pinto was hit by gunfire after allegedly trying to ram an officer with his vehicle.
There was another police-involved shooting near Women and Infants Hospital in Providence when Pinto allegedly drove towards multiple people.
The incident is under investigation by the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office.
