A woman is being charged with domestic violence murder in Pawtucket.
Police say Sharita Watkins confessed to stabbing her mother, Mary Melendez, at their home on Manton Street Saturday night.
Watkins is due for an arraignment in Providence District Court today.
There were two additional cases of fatal violence in the state this weekend.
Police are investigating two more violent incidents that happened in Rhode Island on Saturday.
A man whose name has not been released was reportedly shot dead on Central Falls near Dexter Street and Sumner Avenue.
There was also a fatal stabbing in Cumberland at a residence on Front Street.
The victim was identified as Otis Diggs.
No arrests have been made in connection to either case.
