There was a wild incident Thursday night at the Bristol police station.
Two women reportedly drove to the station seeking help after a naked man accosted them at Colt State Park.
The unidentified suspect allegedly pursued the women in his car and crashed into their vehicle in the police station parking lot on Metacom Avenue.
A Bristol police officer shot the man, who was said to be alert as he was taken to the hospital.
The women sustained minor injuries.
It is unclear whether the officer involved was wearing a body camera. The officer was working inside the station on administrative duties when he responded.
The incident is being investigated by the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office.
