The state has rolled out a winter strategy for dealing with homelessness.
It includes a 30 percent increase in available beds in Rhode Island's shelter system.
Coordinating with communities, service providers and religious groups to provide more beds.
And a pilot program that could provide 30 to 45 rapidly deployed shelter units in either Pawtucket or Providence.
