Two women will be arraigned this morning in connection with the severe burning of a child.
Police arrested 38-year-old Guilene Gerome, and her sister, Franzceska Gerome, 44, both of Seekonk on Saturday.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says the younger Gerome's daughter, who is four years old, was hospitalized on October 9th, after removal from her home in Seekonk.
The child reportedly had second and third-degree burns over much of her body and was in critical condition.
Authorities say the girl had been burned 17 hours before anyone was called.
The women face reckless endangerment and permitting substantial injury to a child.
