Bryant University men's head Basketball Coach Jared Grasso has announced his resignation.
Forty-three-year-old Grasso cited family and health reasons-last month, Grasso turned himself in to authorities, in connection with a hit-and-run accident on Route 146 that occurred in September.
Grasso had initially denied involvement and was suspended and placed on leave of absence by the university.
The misdemeanor charge against Grasso was dropped last week, according to court records. Associate Head Coach Phil Martelli, Jr. has taken over Grasso's coaching duties.
