State officials were at T.F. Green International Airport Tuesday to launch the use of biometric identity verification units. Clear Secure, Inc. installed the kiosks in the main terminal.
The units use biometrics, or automated recognition of individuals through unique physical characteristics to provide a smoother airport experience for travelers, as a precursor to being checked by TSA security.
Membership for a monthly fee allows expedited identity verification lanes.
