Governor Sets Date For State Of The State

Rhode Island's annual State of the State address has been scheduled for January 16th at 7 p.m.

Governor Dan McKee will deliver the address in the House chamber before a joint session of the General Assembly.

A few days later, McKee will submit his proposed fiscal 2025 state budget to the Legislature.

Lawmakers say they are most eager to see how the governor is able to balance the budget and maintain services without immense amounts of federal spending.
