Pawtucket city officials have shut down an illegal after-hours club.
Police say the motorcycle repair shop in the 100 block of India Street, which also doubled as a social club, was operating outside the law.
Authorities noted numerous calls for service at the club, which had no liquor license and impeded law enforcement access to the building.
An inspection in December found no operable fire alarms or emergency lighting, only two exits, and a lack of fire safety equipment.
Power was cut to the site, and police say the property has since been vacated.
