A Georgia non-profit is seeking to purchase two Rhode Island hospitals.
State officials say Centurion Foundation has applied to acquire Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence.
The Atlanta-based Centurion filed a revised application in November after the state ruled a previous attempt was incomplete.
The state Department of Health and Office of the Attorney General will hold two public meetings on the proposal and are accepting written comments through the end of February.
A final decision is due June 11th.
