Hunger Strike Continues- Trustees Won't Consider Divesting

Nineteen Brown University students has entered their fifth day of a hunger strike.

On Monday, they were joined by dozens of supporters on campus as the call continued for school divestment.

The university is being urged to divest from aerospace and defense contractors, which they claim may profit from human rights abuses surrounding the Israeli-Hamas conflict in Palestine.

University President Christina Paxson has refused to bring the matter up for a vote at ongoing board meetings, which are set to end on Saturday.
