The state of Rhode Island will receive more than 1-point-5-million dollars from a health care advertising firm.
Attorney General Peter Neronha says the funds are the state's share of a 350-million-dollar national settlement with Publicis Health.
Neronha says the firm assisted Purdue Pharma and other drug manufacturer markets to sell opioids for more than a decade.
Publicis was found to have been paid more than 70-million-dollars to design promotional and sales plans for the drug maker's products, including Oxycontin.
To date, Rhode Island has recovered nearly 330-million-dollars from various settlements.
