Four Pawtucket residents are facing charges in the death of a one-year-old child.
Officers were called to an Arthur Street apartment at around 10 am Sunday, where the child was found unresponsive and with facial bruises.
They were pronounced dead at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Police have charged 25-year-old Joao Resendes with manslaughter, child endangerment, and second-degree child abuse.
Three other occupants of the apartment, 22-year-old Carolina Ledo, 25-year-old Daniela Ledo, and Carla Sousa, 32, are charged with one count of child endangerment.
Resendes is scheduled for arraignment today.
