Suspect Arrested In North Providence Church Fire

Police have arrested a man in connection with an arson fire at a predominantly Black church in North Providence.

The U.S. Attorney's Office reports, Kevin Colantonio was taken into custody Thursday for allegedly setting several fires outside Shiloh Gospel Temple Ministries late Saturday.

Surveillance camera footage allegedly places the 35-year-old Colantonio at the church and a convenience store just before the attack.

No one was injured, but the church suffered considerable damage.
