Newport city officials have nine open seats to fill on various boards and commissions.
A spokesman says there are two open spots apiece on the Energy and Environment Commission and Juvenile Hearing Board, with other seats available on planning, housing, beach, and other committees.
Middletown, Portsmouth, and Tiverton officials also say they have several positions they must fill.
No reasons were given for the openings.
Those interested should check with their respective city or town halls.
