State Continues To Distribute Narcan Kits

The drive to get the anti-overdose drug Narcan into the hands of residents is ongoing.

First responder programs distributed 54-thousand kits statewide in 2023, through a program funded by the Rhode Island Department of Health.

Officials will host a special event at the United Theatre on February 26th, which will discuss current efforts, educate the public in how to recognize and respond to an overdose situation, and hopefully reduce the stigma associated with drug addiction.
