A planned soccer stadium in Pawtucket is causing a form of sticker shock for taxpayers.
The estimated 27-million dollar cost of construction of the Tidewater Landing project, which is to be paid back over three decades, with interest will total 132-million dollars.
Developers say inflation has driven up construction costs, and funding was shifted away from a housing component of the project.
Officials will have the option to refinance the deal after ten years.
