Police were called to a meeting of the Rhode Island Department of Education council Tuesday evening.
Officers arrived after some teachers, parents, and students were told they could not speak during the public comment period.
Those who wished to speak represented 360 High School, which is being merged with Juanita Sanchez High School at the end of the year.
Parents and officials alike complained they were told they could not register to speak about the closure of 360.
RIDE officials said the signup deadline for public comment expired the previous evening, and the issues surrounding 360 were not on the agenda.
