Calls for accidents on Interstate 195 have increased, since the closure of the westbound lanes of the Washington Bridge.
Figures show 51 calls for accident assistance were made in November of last year, but that rose to 122 in the month since the span was shut down on December 11th.
The most common time for crashes was in the late afternoon.
Traffic jams have been thicker and more frequent since the closure, but state police note there have been no fatalities.
