Governor Dan McKee signed an executive order creating an Artificial Intelligence Task Force.
The order also created a Center for A-I and Data within state government.
he governor's office said the goal is to explore how artificial intelligence can make state government more efficient and prepare the state to support the advancement of A-I in the private sector.
The task force will be chaired by former Congressman Jim Langevin who heads the Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies at Rhode Island College.
