President Biden is declaring the state of the union is strong and getting stronger.
In his third State of the Union address Thursday night as the President laid out his vision for the nation as he heads into another general election campaign.
Senator Jack Reed said after the address liked what he heard.
"President Biden delivered a spirited and effective #SOTU address. There’s always more work to do, but there’s no denying America is better off today than it was 4 yrs ago. As @POTUS said: The state of the union is strong & getting stronger."
Senator Sheldon Whitehouse also liked what he heard.
"President Biden made clear that he is energetically fighting for the middle class and putting a real check on corrupt corporate special interests and the fossil fuel industry, which ran the show during the previous administration."
The rebuttal of President Biden's State of the Union was done by GOP Alabama Senator Katie Britt. While speaking from Montgomery, she said Americans deserve a leader who isn't "dithering and diminished."
