Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey is planning to seek blanket pardons for anyone convicted of simple marijuana possession in Massachusetts.
The state legalized marijuana in 2016 through a voter ballot initiative.
Healey is expected to provide further details of the plan tomorrow, although people are not expected to have to do anything and the convictions will be automatically deleted.
Healey pledged to take up this issue while she was running for governor in 2022.
