The Providence Friars knocked off number-six Creighton 78-73 in the Big East Quarterfinals at Madison Square Garden.
Providence trailed by one with three-and-a-half minutes left in regulation before Jayden Pierre knocked down a three to begin a 7-0 run that gave the Friars the lead for good.
Devin Carter poured in 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the victory.
Providence takes on 10th-ranked Marquette in the Big East Semifinals on Friday.
Ryan Kalkbrenner and Trey Alexander each had 19 points for the Bluejays.
Creighton dropped to 23-and-9.
