Word overnight that Providence College basketball player Devin Carter is leaving the school and declaring for the NBA draft.
He called his decision both an end and a beginning.
The 6'3, 195 pound junior says he was appreciative of his time with the Friars.
"Thank you (to my teammates) for every practice, every game. Every high and every low."
He said that the bonds created with teammates can never be broken.
"This is not good bye," Carter wrote.
"This is just a new chapter from this incredible journey from God."
