Help On The Way For Local Businesses During Bridge Crisis

Governor Dan McKee has announced a new plan to support small businesses affected by the closure of the Washington Bridge.

A marketing campaign will spend up to 400 thousand dollars in tax revenue.

In addition, state officials are providing 300-thousand dollars in direct grants, plus another 800-thousand for technical aid and special events.

The governor's announcement came shortly after a hearing held by the House Small Business Committee.

In addition, the Small Business Administration reported receiving more than eleven hundred applications from businesses claiming losses incurred due to the bridge shutdown.
