A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday morning for the new Rhode Island Black Business Association headquarters in Providence.
Local, state and federal leaders joined community partners and RIBBA officials on Smith Street where the new HQ will serve as an Equity Business Hub for local small businesses.
Senator Jack Reed says he is proud to join Senator Sheldon Whitehouse in earmarking one-point-five-million federal dollars to help RIBBA launch the initiative.
Reed says Rhode Island is growing economically and RIBBA plays a role in making sure the growth is shared by everyone.
