Congressional Democrats Weigh In On Trump Verdict

Donald Trump is the first American President to stand trial and be found guilty in a criminal case. The New York jury has found him guilty on all counts in his hush money case. He could face four years in prison depending on the judge's sentence, which will June 11th. He is guilty of falsifying records before the 2016 election to hide payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Donald Trump is asking his supporters to join him in a "fight for America." After he was found guilty on all counts in his New York hush money trial on Thursday, Trump posted a video on social media asking people to join what he called "the final battle." He told his supporters he wants to "demolish the deep state," "expel the warmongers," and "drive out the globalists" from the country.

Some members of the Rhode Island congressional delegation are weighing in on the Trump Guilty verdict last night.

Senator Jack Reed called the proceedings "full and fair".

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse said the former president "lacks respect for the law."

Congressman Seth Magaziner says Trump lacks "integrity".
