Solar Panel Bill Sent To Governor's Desk

A bill protecting home solar panel consumers is headed to the governor's desk.

The House passed the legislation gave final approval to create a series of regulations.

Additionally, it gives the Department of Business Regulations the authority to investigate complaints and impose penalties on violators.

DBR says there are frequent consumer complaints about solar retailers regarding aggressive sales tactics, misleading information on financing terms and misrepresentations about installation requirements.
