Rhode Island's largest health care system is among potential bidders for bankrupt Steward Health Care hospitals in Massachusetts.
The Boston Globe reported Lifespan isn't saying which facilities it might be interested in bidding on.
Texas-based Steward filed for bankruptcy last month and it is selling all 31 of its hospitals, including eight in Massachusetts.
A Steward spokesperson would only say there are a number of potential buyers.
