Senator Miller Not Running For Re-Election

Cranston state Senator Joshua Miller is not going to run for re-election after 18 years in the General Assembly.

The 70-year-old Democrat said he wants more time focused on his family and businesses.

Over the years he worked on legislation to legalize marijuana, gun control bills and health care measures.

In July of last year, Miller pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges after he was accused of keying a car because it had an anti-Biden bumper sticker.

Miller was ordered to pay restitution and make a charitable contribution.
