Rhode Island's unemployment rate is inching upward.
It was four-point-three percent in May, up two-tenths pf a percent from April.
By comparison, the state's jobless rate in May of 2023, was two-and-a-half percent.
Nationally the unemployment rate last month was four percent, up a tenth of a percent from the previous month.
