Cleanup Underway From Storms, Small Tornado

Beginning today, East Providence residents can drop off their storm debris at the Forbes Street Compost site.

Only tree-related and vegetative material will be accepted, and tree branches must be cut to a manageable length.

The debris can be dropped off from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and residents will have to show a valid driver's license to prove residency.

Meantime, while some parts of the state got lots of wind and rain, along with downed power lines and the like, in Lincoln and Cumberland, the National Weather Service confirmed yesterday an EF tornado traveled about 3 miles.
There were no injuries reported.

But the cleanup will continue today.
