Free summer meals are now available to anyone 18 and younger in Providence.
Mayor Brett Smiley held a kickoff event Monday to mark the opening of the meal program which will be open Monday through Friday until September 1.
The mayor says ensuring that young people have access to nutritious meals during the summer is crucial for their health and development.
Parents should call 311 to find their nearest meal site.
