Arrest Made In Ten Million Dollar Fraud Scheme

A Warwick woman has been charged in a ten-million-dollar direct-mail scheme.

Forty-seven-year-old Megan Shine faces federal charges of conspiracy and fraud.

Prosecutors claim Shine used the U.S. Postal Service to send out mailings suggesting the recipients were entitled to cash and prizes and duped them into sending payments to cover processing.

The mailings were sent to people in 41 states but there were no prizes.

Shine was arraigned Tuesday and released on unsecured bond.
