Trump Praises Court Ruling- Reed Questions "Tortured Reasoning"

Former President Trump is applauding the dismissal of his federal classified documents case. Trump was accused by the Feds of taking classified documents from the White House after he left office and illegally storing them in Mar-A-Lago. Judge Aileen Cannon ruled the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith violated the Constitution.

Senator Jack Reed reacting to the decision saying:

“This is another ideological decision that undermines confidence in the independence of the federal court system, rejects higher court precedents, and lets Donald Trump off the hook for obstructing justice and compromising some of America’s most closely guarded secrets.

“Judge Canon used tortured reasoning to dismiss the case and deny Americans an opportunity to hear the evidence against Donald Trump in a court of law.

“Judge Cannon has a track record of being reversed by appellate courts when reaching highly suspect, sweeping decisions such as this one. I hope the Justice Department swiftly appeals and she is once again rebuked by a higher court.

Trump posted "As we move forward in Uniting our Nation after the horrific events on Saturday," this dismissal should be "followed quickly by the dismissal of ALL the Witch Hunts." His list of "witch hunts" includes his pending cases, and the New York hush-money case where he was found guilty.
