Forbes magazine has ranked Rhode Island as one of the most expensive states in the country to live.
The report released earlier this month considered several criteria including cost of living, average salary, disposable income, transportation, real estate, rent and housing costs.
Those are along with healthcare, food prices and income taxes.
All that adds up to the Ocean State being the 13th most expensive state to live in.
The state ranked 22nd in disposable income, 14th in average salary, 11th most expensive in housing costs and 13th in healthcare costs.
Massachusetts led the nation in highest salary. But they also led in highest energy, transportation and health care costs as well.
The report says Massachusetts and Connecticut both have higher housing costs as well.
