The Mayor of Taunton faces charges after an argument with her husband prompted a call to police.
Mayor Shauna O'Connell says she and her husband are working through marital issues.
During their argument over the weekend her husband Ted called the cops.
O'Connell says her husband regrets the decision to call authorities and Taunton Police have not disclosed any details.
O'Connell has been charged with assault and battery on a family member.
